Working with individuals

Empowerment programmes

Our mission is to ensure that LGBT role models and allies are visible throughout public life in order to create an environment where all lesbian, gay, bi and trans people are able to participate fully in society.

To achieve this Stonewall runs a series personal and professional development programmes to enable people to connect with and influence others to challenge homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying, celebrate difference, improve inclusion and increase the visibility of role models.

Our CPD-accredited programmes give people the time and space to explore what it means to be a role model in their organisation, profession, environment or community, and the space to identify how they are going to create an inclusive environment for everyone. Through reflecting on the relevance and impact of their identity, participants are able to identify achievable ways to step up as a role model, leaving the programme with a concrete plan about what they are going to do, and how.
